To provide welding manpower services on offshore rig sites with candidates who have a formal qualification in welding, or one year of experience in welding, fabrication, and pipework, the required training certificate, and who fulfill the ARO-provided job description as per ITEM 3 below.

2. JOB DESCRIPTION OF WELDING SERVICES:
The function of each welder is to cut, shape, and join sections of metal plates and pipes in a wide range of industries. These include construction, engineering, transport, aerospace, and offshore oil and gas. They are also to carry out repairs on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
3. Scope of work and responsibilities:
. Perform welding duties, including any preparation of the site and materials as directed.
ii. Carry out general fabrication and repair work that requires welding, torch cutting, brazing,
and burning operations as required.
iii. Fabricate and fit equipment, structures, tools, etc.
IV. Inspect welded joints for visible defects, correct dimensions, bead formation, weld
penetration, and conformance to work order and layout specification.
v. Obtain a permit to work before the commencement of any electric welding, use of oxy–
acetylene and grinding equipment.
vi. Ensure that an adequate supply of consumables is available for welding operations.
vii. Perform daily inspection and maintenance on welding equipment.
viii. Assist with duties other than welding when required to ensure the operations’ safe and efficient
running.
ix. Carry out assigned duties in a safe manner according to ARO policies and procedures.
x. Participate in emergency drills and respond to emergencies.
xi. Become familiar with the rig’s emergency and medical evacuation procedures.
xii. Report any incidents, potential hazards, or abnormal situations to the supervisors.
xiii. Ensure that a fire watcher is in place when necessary.
xiv. Ensure that oxygen and acetylene bottles are stored correctly.
Painting scope of work:
Complete surface preparation for sandblasting, buffing, chipping and painting services to remove rust and harmful surface contaminants. Applying coating & painting according to the client standards.

Performing installation, inspection, and maintenance for wooden structures such as cabinets, shelving, roofing frames, rafters, and partitions. Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges, and closures as required by the client.

Plumber
Performing routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems, identifying and diagnosing plumbing problems using appropriate tools and techniques. Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures (such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters) as required at the rig.

As per client requirements, working on the provided drawings using a variety of techniques to make new structures. Performing related tasks that include cutting and welding materials according to the technical plans and the used
components. Cutting materials into the required shapes, checking dimensions and thicknesses. Following engineering plans, drawings, and instructions.
